- Additional Information
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are among the most common infections in women, especially during pregnancy and menopause. While antibiotics are the primary treatment, overuse can lead to antibiotic resistance, yeast infections, and gastrointestinal disturbances. Reducing antibiotic duration and integrating non-antibiotic preventive measures, such as probiotics and cranberry supplements, is increasingly recommended.
- Cranberry extract : Prevents recurrent UTIs by inhibiting pathogenic bacterial adhesion in the urinary tract and lowering urine pH, making it harder for harmful bacteria to thrive.
- D-mannose : A naturally occurring monosaccharide that is easily absorbed and excreted through urine, where it prevents pathogenic bacteria, particularly E. coli, from adhering to the urinary tract lining.
